Sports Performance Enhancement

How can I improve my sports performance with trigger point therapy?

Whether you enjoy an active lifestyle or compete in certain sports, correct movement is must-have to improve your performance and prevent injuries. Athletes often experience pain or tightness due to trigger points caused by poor movement patterns. By correcting your movements, you will get to the next level.

It is very critical for everyone to know “how to move”. Poor movement patterns are among the most common perpetuating factors for muscular dysfunction. Without correcting this problem, you will experience tightness or injuries, especially if you play sports involving repetitive motion (ex. running, cycling, swimming, golfing, tennis).

The Tomo Touch offers a movement assessment to find out if you have stability and/or mobility problems for your sports performance. If you can’t activate certain muscles, your body learns how to compensate and it changes your movement pattern. Rocktape® application is often used to correct poor movement pattern.  Along with Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, patients will improve their movement pattern by gaining stability and mobility and lower a risk of injury.

Golf-specific Assessments are also available.
